In November, we honor the brave men and women who have served our country, celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends, and battle that team up north!

Ohio State v. Michigan Blood Battle
When: now – November 21
Where: American Red Cross
For more than 30 years, students and fans of The Ohio State University and the University of Michigan have taken their battle off the field to help save lives through their annual Blood Battle. Who will bring in the most blood donations this year? Ohio State won the Blood Battle last year by just 53 donations – come on Buckeye Nation, let’s win the Blood Battle again this year!!

Veterans Day Events
Veterans Day is Sunday, November 11, and observed on Monday, November 12, this year. Here is a sampling of events planned in central Ohio.
Columbus: November 11 parade at 12:00 noon (from Nationwide Boulevard down High Street to Broad Street)
Delaware: November 11 parade at 3:00 p.m. (starting at Ohio Wesleyan University, near Wilmer Street, through the city and to the county fairgrounds, with ceremony to follow)
Dublin: November 12 ceremony at 11:00 a.m. (Grounds of Remembrance in Dublin Veterans Park, 77 N High Street)
Hilliard: November 11 parade at 2:00 p.m. (from Franklin County Fairgrounds down Main Street to Veterans Memorial Plaza at Municipal Park), followed by a brief ceremony
Powell: November 11 ceremony at 11:00 a.m. at the Greater Powell Veterans Memorial (Village Green Park, 47 Hall Street), with a free luncheon to follow in the municipal building’s east room for veterans and military personnel as well as their family and friends

Ohio Star Ball
When: November 13-18

COSI After Dark
When: November 15 from 6:00-10:00 p.m.
Where: COSI, 333 West Broad Street, Columbus 43215
21+ event! It’s COSI without kids! Geek out with grown-ups and explore all things COSI – high wire unicycle, exhibits, special themed activities, concessions, and a cash bar!

Holiday Lighting Ceremony and Santa Arrival Parade
When: November 16 at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Easton Town Center
Watch as the 56 foot Christmas tree is illuminated, have your photo taken with Santa, and many other surprises during this magical night!

Powell Turkey Trot
When: November 22 at 8:00 a.m.
Where: Village Green Pavilion
Come and celebrate family, friends & fitness and indulge in the beauty of Historic Downtown Powell, while completing this 4-mile tree lined course. The Thanksgiving festivities will begin at Village Green Pavilion with a book drive and other opportunities to give back.

Dragon Lights Columbus
When: November 23, 2018 – January 6, 2019 (Tuesday – Sunday from 5:30-10:00 p.m.)
Where: Natural Resources Park in the Ohio Expo Center, 717 E. 17th Avenue, Columbus 43211
Brand new light sculptures, exciting performances, food and beverages, and fun!

Holiday Open House
When: November 25, 12:00-5:00 p.m.
Where: Downtown Worthington
Enjoy musical entertainment, visit Santa, sample holiday snacks, take a carriage ride, and enjoy holiday decorations in downtown Worthington. Local retailers will be offering special promotions too! Beginning at 5:00 p.m., there will be activities on the southeast Village Green, prior to the 5:30 tree lighting celebration.

Home For The Holidays Weekend
When: November 30 – December 2
Where: Downtown Delaware
Tree lighting, carolers, horse-drawn carriage rides, scavenger hunt, and a holiday parade! The parade starts at Mingo Park and ends at Wilmer Street in downtown Delaware. Bring your family to see the floats, animals, and a special appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus!
