Fresh jalapenos, stuffed with a mixture of cheeses and bacon, then grilled to perfection! A perfect game day appetizer!
6 whole jalapeno peppers
6 ounces cream cheese (the block not the spreadable)
1 green onion finely minced
1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
1.5 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Cut the stem off each jalapeno and cut in half, lengthwise. Scrape out seeds and membranes. If you don’t like spice, you can use sweet baby red and yellow peppers instead.
In a small bowl, combine cream cheese, green onion, garlic powder, bacon crumbles, and cheddar cheese.
Stuff cheese mixture in the jalapeno halves.
Place jalapenos on the grill and grill until cheese mixture is soft and cheese mixture is melted (about 10-12 minutes at medium-low heat).
You can also wrap the jalapenos in a full slice of bacon and secure with toothpicks (rather than putting crumbled bacon in the cheese mixture).
