Death by Chocolate

Death by Chocolate – a delicious recipe from Juli Cachat, buyer’s agent on the Ryan Reynolds Team!

This desert is one of our go-to recipes because of the versatility. If you don’t like chocolate cake you can make it with strawberry cake, white chocolate pudding, and fresh strawberries instead of candy bars. It’s always a crowd-pleaser!!

Ingredients:

1 box chocolate cake mix, made according to instructions on box

2 boxes (3.4 oz) chocolate instant pudding (or another flavor, if you prefer)

4 cups cold milk (2 cups for each box of pudding), but do not make the pudding just yet

2 (8 oz) Cool Whip

Candy bars, Oreos, fresh fruit, or whatever you like as garnishment

Directions:

Cut cooled cake into small pieces.

Place one layer of chocolate cake pieces in bottom of glass bowl.  Make 1 package of pudding (do not allow to set) and immediately pour over cake pieces.

Top pudding with 1 container of Cool Whip and add any garnishments you prefer.

Repeat steps to add another layer.

When finished with second layer, cover and place in refrigerator for 4-6 hours before serving.
