The Joy of Giving…and a Gift for You!
While there is a lot of hustle and bustle with shopping, parties, and preparations for this time of year, I know a lot of people may end up disappointed on Christmas morning with what they receive or how what they’ve given is received. So much pressure is placed on this one moment! The pressure is self-inflicted in most cases and almost entirely between one’s ears. Finding the joy can sometimes seem elusive, like the octopus in Jacque Cousteau’s adventures, yet I believe that it’s always there and easy to find, if you just tune in. There are many ways to “tune in” and I can suggest that giving may be one of the best. Not giving with the thought of receiving or even giving to get the satisfying look on your loved one’s face. Giving for the sheer joy of giving, without attachment to the outcome, and giving to give because it feels good. You don’t have to give anything that costs a lot, it could even just be a smile to someone who’s not having a great day or paying for the person’s coffee behind you in the drive through. Someone you’ll never see again and someone who could never repay you or thank you. Try it sometime. I guarantee that you’ll feel it. So, here’s my gift to you (NO RETURNS POSSIBLE) …
What do 2+2=5 and your left foot have in common?
They are both not RIGHT! HA!
