Carriage Rides

Horse-drawn carriage rides through the streets of Easton on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Huntington Holiday Train
When: Now through December 30
Where: Columbus Metropolitan Library – Main Branch, 96 S. Grant Avenue, Columbus
FREE! 2016 marks the 25th anniversary! See the spectacular display featuring 280 feet of train tracks running through tiny villages. The exhibit is never the same, as it is assembled differently each year!

Zoo Lights
When: Now through January 1
Where: Columbus Zoo & Aquarium
Central Ohio’s favorite family holiday tradition went from a few strands of lights to millions of LED lights, 3 animated musical light shows, Santa & Mrs. Claus, reindeer, and more!

Ohio Chinese Lantern Festival
When: Now through January 2
Where: Ohio Expo Center, 717 E. 17th Avenue, Columbus
The Ohio Chinese Lantern Festival showcases Chinese art and culture through the exhibition of 28 Chinese lantern installations using traditional Chinese methods and more than 15,000 LED lights in brilliant colors. Visitors will stroll through the park outfitted with illuminating lantern sculptures of animals, flowers and nature and holiday figures.

Grand Illumination

Where: Scioto Mile
Kick off the holiday season with the Grand Illumination of downtown Columbus as thousands of twinkling lights illuminate the Scioto Mile.

Messiah Sing-Along
When: December 9 at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Southern Theatre, corner of Main and High Streets, Columbus
Join the orchestra and community members for a beloved holiday tradition! Raise your voice in song with friends, families, and church choirs, and sing selections of Handel’s legendary Messiah.

NCAA Women’s Volleyball Championship
When: December 15 and 17

Christmas with the Critters

First Night Columbus
When: December 31, from 5:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Where: COSI, 333 West Broad Street, Columbus
A New Year’s celebration for families. Live music, crafts, and games to ring in the new year.
