Examine Roof Shingles: Check to see if any shingles are missing or were damaged during fall and winter. Have a professional roofer inspect the flashing around plumbing vents, skylights, and chimneys.
Probe the Wood Trim: Inspecting exterior wood finishes and wood trim every spring with a screwdriver is a great precautionary step to prevent any future deterioration or rotting. Pick a possible area of concern and test.
Check the Gutters: While cleaning the gutters, check for any leaks. If there are any loose gutters, now is the time to fix!
