Turn Pumpkin Seeds Into a Tasty Snack!


Did you carve a pumpkin this year? Do you ever turn the “guts” of your pumpkin into a tasty snack? If you haven’t tried it yet, here is a simple recipe to start with.

  1. Scoop out the inside of your pumpkin and separate the seeds

  2. Place the seeds in a colander and rinse thoroughly until they are free of any pulp

  3. Make sure seeds are dried completely by using a paper towel

  4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  5. In a large bowl, combine

  • ½ teaspoon cumin

  • ½ teaspoon chipotle powder

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  1. Toss the seeds in the mixture until they are coated. Salt to taste.

  2. In a single layer, place seeds in a baking sheet.

  3. Bake until golden brown moving the seeds around occasionally, 15-20 minutes

  4. Remove from the oven, cool completely
